Fall Foliage Festival has been a tradition in Canadian since the mid 1950's. Always the third weekend in October, we look forward to seeing you on October 18 & 19 this year! The Fall Foliage Festival offers walks on the picturesque Canadian River Historic Wagon Bridge and on the trails at Lake Marvin & Black Kettle National Grasslands. Visitors to Canadian may also enjoy the Citadelle Art Foundation, the Canadian River Art Center, wagon rides, the arts & crafts festival, special exhibits at Lake Marvin, special museum exhibits, and as always, nature's glorious showcase of color. We also encourage our guests to enjoy the special shopping and dining opportunities and activities in the community.
A complete schedule of events will be available soon, so please check back often!

Living In Canadian
Since its incorporation in 1908 and its founding long prior to that time, Canadian has always been a place of pride and purpose for its driven and determined citizens. In the 1985 Hemphill County History book, Tom Abraham noted, “…I know Canadian folks—they just don’t give up.” This speaks volumes about the people who have worked so hard over the past 130+ years to build this ever changing community that continues to thrive.
